How
Do I Book a Party and Find Contacts?
-
always start with “Who Do you Know?” – Who do you know that – has
children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren etc.,
-
find new customers through ballot/lead boxes – take a shoe box (you can
decorate it with Discovery Toys fliers) cut a slit in the middle of the lid.
Ask local community centre, coffee shop, independently owned shops to put
the lead box out for you – it should be put our with ballots and a sign that
says something like “fill out a ballot to win free toys” – Go back after a
week to see if you are collecting leads. If
you are take the leads and leave the box, if not move the box to a new location
-
call local baby groups and ask to be a ‘speaker’ and go demo the toys
- reverse advertising - open up your
newspaper and phone people who are looking for a nanny - they have children and
therefore need toys. AND call people advertising home daycares. They
may need toys for their childcare and/or may be interested in the business
opportunity
